I did manage to work on this one a little last month, but it really didn't progress as much as I had hoped it would.
I have finished needle felting the bird. Have added some stitched legs, a beak and an eye.
The beak is needle felted too and I'm not sure that it stands out as much as I had hoped so I might need to add some stitching or something to make it more prominent. I'm not altogether convinced that I like the way this is turning out but I will persevere and see what happens....

I like the eye. We get a pair of blackbirds in the garden, I really love watching them
I think you could go a really long way with stitching this. Your cat pics are wonderful!!
