Strolling by the Thames

Not to much to say, just some pictures of a walk I took by the side of the Thames when in London over easter

Busy Stitching

Although I've been a bit absent here I haven't been entirely lazy. I've been busy stitching my next PIF gift
I'm only showing you a sneaky peek of what the project looked like at it's beginning as this doesn't really give anything away.
It's actually finished now and on it's way to the recipient so hopefully it won't be too much longer before I actually have some finished stitching to show you ..... it's been a while, lol

Malmesbury

I have so many out and about posts to share with you. I've been away from blogging too long, life just gets busy sometimes, but it's nice to be back and to have lots to post about.

First a few pictures that I took in the lovely town of Malmesbury during my lunch break the other week
The next few pictures are from Malmesbury Abbey, I know I've shown you pictures of this before, but hopefully these ones are a bit different than the last ones.

My job can be pretty hard going emotionally sometimes, but one of the good things is that I'm out and about a lot so if I plan my day right I can usually be somewhere nice for a wander at lunch time.

Last shot is a bit random and I did get a few odd looks, but I love the texture and patterns on this drain cover that I spotted in the street.
Hope you all have had a wonderful weekend.

Hole in the head

You know that saying I need more .... like a hole in the head?  Well my fill in the blank words have got to be craft projects but last week found me hanging out at a lovely shop in the town of Cricklade during one of my lunchbreaks and look what came home with me.
I picked up 2 balls of that lovely Noro yarn for making a new scarf.  I know what with the warmer weather that has been upon us recently we're really past scarf weather, but my excuse is I'm on catch up.  Most winters I'll try and make myself a new scarf or hat to add to my collection, but this winter passed me by so I need to make amends.

As for the gorgeous Rowan knit/crochet book well I have no idea how that jumped into my basket ;-)  But I'm glad it did there are some lovely things in it.  Now I just need to finish up some of the things I'm already working on to make room to start on some new projects ;-)
