Red and White - Part Three

I've been busy cutting, stitching and rejoining. You can tell how much I'm enjoying this project just by how quickly it's coming together. I've given up making resolutions this year but I have made a little promise to myself to try and do something creative everyday, even if I only get to squeeze in 10 or 15 minutes. The last few evenings have seen me squirrelled away in the sewing room using the creative time I promised myself to make the next units for the red quilt. I love that they are all formed using random combinations of fabric and different size strips, yet the pieces themselves all wind up the same size. To these yummy red squares got added some strips of white and voila the next border is done and joined to the chequer board. I've managed to upload this picture upside down and I really can't be bothered to delete it and try and sort it out. To be honest I don't think it really matters, you get the idea.

Two more borders to add and the top will be finished. I have the pieces cut already so just the stitching together to do, which I'm sure I'll make time for this weekend :)

Oh, I like that one, too! I can see that in blue scraps.
