Take a Stitch Tuesday - Buttonhole

I am totally running behind with the Take a Stitch Tuesday challenge at the moment. I haven't even started on detached chain stitch and a new stitch will be out tomorrow. I also have my mermaid to finish and the piece that I really wanted to create for the buttonhole stitch. So much to do and so little time, sigh, I really must find a way to fix the lottery and get a win!

Anyhow I added a few more stitches to the buttonhole sampler that I started and turned it into a postcard. I don't really think samplers are my thing somehow I just don't get a feel for where to put my stitching to make an interesting composition. I'm not overly pleased with the finished card but it is finished none the less.

I hear your pain Angela. Too much to do, so little time. Take a breath! I'm sure you'll figure something out on your stitch samplers.

I have to say I love your buttonhole postcard! It's like a little map to some wierd treasure that a child might draw. It has a simplicity about it that I think is very sweet.

The sampler looks good, and makes a wonderful postcard, but I know what you mean. That's why I've chosen to work actual seams on things I'm making, mostly for others. I keep photographs, so I have a record, but I need something "real" to stitch. Still, your postcard looks good, and I like that scoopy line across it.
