Goodbye 2008

WARNING: You might want to skip this post it's long and full of self centred reflection, lol!

I can hardly believe that the last day of 2008 has arrived, where did it go? The last few years have been a roller coaster for me and this one has been no different. I think my own health problems earlier in the year left me in a state of lethargy and I never really recovered. The year has passed me by without me really having the time, energy or inclination to really take part in it.

But here we are on the cusp of the new year and I can feel myself waking up again inside, opening up to the potential of new beginnings. I'm always optimistic and full of excitement for the things that the new year might bring, although I have to admit that my excitement these days is tinged with caution as for the last few years life has put some big pot holes in the road for me to contend with. I guess we can only plunge head long into it and see what life will bring over the next 12 months.

For the last year I have been keeping a list of some of the things that I've done in my sidebar.
As I will need to wipe the slate clean and start afresh tomorrow I thought I'd transfer all the details into a post so as not to lose the information entirely.

It's all about perspective. It's so easy to get bogged down in the negative muck when you are not feeling well or when life throws you those curves. But in reality our lives are not all negative. It's always a mixture, there are good days and bad and a whole bunch of in between. What we all need to do is to focus on our accomplishments and celebrate them. Your list for 2008 has some pretty impressive achievements, like 129 post cards, I have yet to make my first one.

So as New Years comes celebrate your accomplishments for these are the things that truly make you a unique and wonderful person. May 2009 bring you new creative energies to spark the diva within you.

Wow that is a lot in one year, how did you have time to read books and see movies? ;o)) I suppose it is so easy to see that the time has gone and where did it go to that it is good that you made time to log everything that you've done.

Best wishes for a happy (and productive) New Year

Sue

Happy New Year, Miss
Angelcat! Of course, where you are, it is already 2009. It is still 2008 here in the States, I am fixing to go out to a New Year's Eve party. I wish you the best of health, and all the love and peace in the world in 2009. Let's all pray for a happy and prosperous New Year!

I think you accomplished quite a lot, given your heath issues. Do tell: what was your favorite movie and favorite book of 2008?
