On Tuesday it was the monthly meet of the Great Western Embroiderers. While most people are busy working on stitching a piece or two for the exhibition we have at Steam next year, I took along some bits and pieces for making Christmas postcards as a little distraction from the serious stuff :) Sadly I forgot my camera to take pictures on the day but here are a couple of cards that I managed to stitch.
For the last couple of evenings I've been trying to get myself into the Christmas spirit by working on my Christmas cards for family. They are all done and ready to mail (not all shown here though, the light is just awful for pictures at the moment it's raining hard outside!)
I really love the black and silver tree fabric and the different designs on the trees. This little chap has got to be my favourite.

I'm often attracted to work with birds on but hardly ever use them in my own stuff, maybe that's something to think about for the new year.....
GIVEAWAY - Anyway I have one card left over with the bird design so I've decided to have a quick giveaway. Leave a comment here before the end of the weekend and I'll put you in the draw. If I can get him mailed on Monday, who knows there's a chance he might even reach you before the 25th!

You find the greatest fabrics. I love the tree fabric.
I love them all! Count me in!
I love this and I must remember to thank Tracey for sending me over!
Thanx!
That's a gorgeous card - I'd love to receive one like that. What a brilliant use of that gorgeous fabric. I've been very attracted to birdy things lately, too, and hope to create something birdy soon.
Great postcards Angela.
The trees are just lovely, got my fingers crossed here ;0)
Isn't it annoying to forget your camera when you go to a group meeting? I have a solution to my forgetfulness now, I have a mobile phone, though not such good quality.
I love your cards, very inspiring!
So where did you find black and silver tree fabric? I love what you have done with your cards. I'm just now getting around to sending out my cards, but they are just the regular store bought kind.
Pick me!! Your card could go on the mantle with VickiW's which I got this week. I don't make 'em, but I sure like getting 'em.
me me me! I'd love a tree to grace my mantle - lovely - as ever
not sure if it is the end of your weekend, but it is Sunday night here! Love your postcards and the tiger is coming along....Melinda
