Mountain Autumn Part Two

Still no machine Grrr. Apparently it's fixed there was a blown internal fuse it is with the Janome engineers and should have been delivered to me on Thursday but no sign. I will have to chase it up tomorrow what a pain. I have several postcards and quilt blocks waiting to be finished.

In the meantime I do have something to share at last. Some progress on the Mountain Autumn kit.
(apologies for the wonky photo). In order that this doesn't turn into a UFO I think I am going to do a rotation with this one and Siberian Gold. I will work one week on the cross stitch and one week on the long stitch.

I will start this week with Siberian Gold which hasn't had a stitch added to it since my last post, I have some catching up to do :)

What beautiful even stitches! I lvoe the colors in that. Alternating weeks is a good approach. There's another project that I've been wanting to bring out but I was afraid I'd put the cat away. Maybe I can do alternating weeks too. I'll ponder it.

This looks lovely - I haven't done any long stitch for ages. This may prompt me to find some out!!

So Sorry your machine is still not with you, fingers crossed it will be soon,

Great long stitch design you are doing, be great to see the finish, is long stitch quicker than x-stitch to do as never tempted long stitch before.?

Thanks Angelcat, you've introduced me to something new. I've never seen long stitch before. I've done cross stitch and tapestry stitch (short stitches on an angle) but this gives the design a whole different feel. I like it and and the colours are lovely.

Hopefully you will have your machine this week.

The long stitch is looking great...takes me back to my semi-average attempts in my teens :) keep up the great work!
