A day off work today,
yipee! I had planned to stitch, stitch, stitch all day, but it's been such a nice clear bright day it seemed a waste to spend it all indoors so I went on an early
Christmas shopping trip to Bath.
Of course I couldn't go to Bath without calling into my favourite quilt shop, Country Threads. And oh look before you know it look what happened to fall into my bag :)
A pile of magazines

Some
Christmas fabric.

Oh and I couldn't resist some of this fabulous fabric too.

My 'No Buy' fabric rule has been well and
truly broken but what the hell, let's just call it an early
Christmas present to myself!

It sounds like you had a lot of fun Angelcat. I never was one who believed in imposing a "no buying fabric" rule. It's when you impose strick rules you will always see that perfect fabric and you have a dilema. Just keep the purchases to the "really must haves". That's my rule. Have a great weekend and enjoy your goodies.
Everyone deserves to treat themselves from time to time
a "no buy rule" is like a diet -- a guideline, a plan, not a lifetime restriction!
The tapemeasure fabric is very interesting. I'm lookingforward to seeing how you use it...
We must have similar taste, cause I have a couple of those fabrics! sometimes you just gotta break the rules every once in a while! You have been busy lately! Melinda
Have you seen the article in the top Quilting Arts Mag about making fabric pictures of your pets? It is excellent - I am hoping to do something similar for one of me C&G pieces.
