Bison in the Buttercups

My little stitchery is complete, it's entirely made from left over scraps of fabric. The embroidery thread was all left overs from cross stitch kits too, a nice way to recycle and reuse I think.

I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.  My first attempt at interpreting one of my own photos in stitch, I had lots of fun with it and can see myself working on more little pictures like this in the future.  I've mounted it on a canvas that I picked up in a sale a while back and have had lying round ever since.

On another note this is my 1000th post if you can believe it, who knew when I first started this blog that I'd have so much to talk about.  Thanks to everyone out there who takes the time to pop by and read my ramblings :)

Congratulations on 1000 posts, that's a heck of a lot. Your little picture is lovely. It's satisfying isn't it to make something that's completely your own design.

Love this little bison and his flower meadow - and also the way you used your scraps!
