PS I just want to say a big thank you to all those of you out there who are taking the time to read my blog and also anyone who leaves a comment. Things are a bit frantic at the moment and I haven't had time to reply to everyone recently, but I do appreciate you all. X

Swap goodness
A quick post today to share with you lots of lovely swap goodness. You might remember back here, I offered up a couple of red ATCs that I made for trade. Jane and Kathy took me on the swap offer and look at all these loveliness that I got in return.
The ATC is from Kathy and the tissue holder and bookmark from Jane. What a lucky girl I am to receive such great trades :)

Mug Rugs
I just realised that I forgot to tell you all about the fabulous Mug Rugs that I received from Beth Laidlaw (no blog to link you to) in the Quilting Gallery Swap.
I love them! Beth was also kind enough to send me some wonderful fabrics too.
I'm so pleased that I took part in this wonderful swap. Thanks Beth!

Mug Rug Number Two
Have been lucky enough to have yesterday and today off work. I have a tonne of things to catch up on so am trying to squeeze in as much as I can before I have to get back to work tomorrow. Of course that includes plenty of stitching time.
First thing on the list was making the second mug rug for the Quilting Gallery swap. My partner had two colour choices, the brights which I made last time and the second was black and white. I have to say when it came to it I was really surprised at how few black and white prints I had, literally just a few scraps, but luckily just about enough to come up with a simple mug rug design.
I hand stitched the lettering on to finish. So now I can get these packaged up and sent off in plenty of time for next weeks posting deadline. I just hope my swap partner likes what I have made for her.

Mug Rug Swap
Just a quick post today. I'm excited to say that I've jumped in and joined my first ever swap at the Quilting Gallery.
I'd noticed that a lot of people taking part in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge (see my sidebar) have been making these really cute little mug rugs. So when I saw that the Quilting Gallery were having a swap I just had to join in.
If I remember rightly sign up closes today so there might just be time for you to jump in and join the fun.

Treasures Received
I didn't think I would have a whole lot to post about this week apart from the cross stitch update tomorrow but thanks to Vicki in Canada I have some wonderful treasures to share.
We were paired up recently in a fabric scrap swap hosted by Quilt Pixie. Now the idea was to have a scrap swap in December but we got a bit excited and put our packages for each other together straightaway and mine arrived today.
We made up a few rules of our own and decided to swap not only fabrics but some other embellishments too. Here are some of the lovely fabrics I received, too many to have them all showing in one picture.
I was also lucky enough to receive some pieces of silk. I've always been a bit scared to work on lovely silk materials so have never purchased any, no excuse now!

Some lovely beads and buttons.

Some yarns.

And finally a delightful notepad, some candy and a few pressies for my kitties.

Here is a little video of Hector messing around with his new toys. Sorry you have to hold your head sideways for the start. Photos I can handle videos, lets just say I need more practise!!!.
