Happy and Sad

This week I have been thinking a lot about my Mum and my Gran who are sadly both no longer with us. I think it's because I'm coming to the end of working on Siberian Gold, which means that I'll have to pick another of my Mum's UFOs to work on soon. Also they both have birthdays in May.

Isn't it funny how these things work. On a day that I'd been thinking about them non stop for one reason and another I had a letter through the door to say that some money had come in to Gran's estate and I was entitled to receive some. It wasn't much, less that £20 but what a coincidence that it happened at this time.

After a little bit of thought we decided to go to the garden centre and have bought this beautiful little bay tree with the money.
She's sat outside the house where I get to go past and see her everyday and think of Gran. It's funny how something happy can come out of something sad. This picture was taken a couple of days ago, the tree has been receiving a good watering these last couple of days as we've had some wonderful rain storms here.

I love that you purchased a lovely little tree, I'm sure your Gran would approve. :)

I'm catching up with your posts in reverse order, so I have already left a comment about mourning!

As time passes, you will find that happens more and more, the sad thoughts are pushed out by happy ones. But I can't guarantee that some money will come your way every time you think about your Nan :-)
