Were you invited?

Unless you happen to live in a remote cave, if you're in the UK, and possibly anywhere else in the world, it won't have escaped your notice that there is a wedding today!

Did your invitation get lost in the mail, like mine? Will you be watching? I'm not really a follower of the royal family but we're making an effort to be patriotic today. Hector looks proud to be British anyway!! :)

I love the picture of the cat... Will probably check the TV from time to time but its not the same interest for me as it was with Diana..Its a good opportunity to sit and sew...whatever you do, enjoy it...

Yes it's been kind of hard not to miss the big wedding even across the pond. What really amazed me were all those people camped out for days just to get a glimpse of the carriage driving by. The other thing is a lot of them weren't even locals, but people who have flown in from other parts of the world. Personally I think if I was really into it, I would prefer to be at home and watch everything televised live and not just see a carriage go by.

I was there!

I was in the Abbey watching all of the guests arrive. I was outside the Palaces and the hotel waiting to see everyone depart. I was outside the Abbey to see the Princes and the family members arrive and I was there straining to see her dress, trying to see if it was embroidered, beaded, sequined. I sat amongst the choir when they sang and listened intently to the sermon. I was in the park with the crowds cheering when the William and Kate were declared man and wife. I waved my flag when their carriage passed by me and waited outside the Palace to see the newly weds kiss on the balcony.

I can't help myself, I'm a hopeless romantic and I've watched every moment ... from behind my embroidery frame :-)
