Well I haven't been around to participate in the last couple of Scrap Saturdays. We're in a new month so it's goodbye to green and hello purple.
Before I say goodbye to green entirely I want to share with you a little pin cushion that I made with some of my green scraps last night. The shape was inspired by the lily pads that got appliqued on to the quilt that I started (which sadly as yet hasn't seen any more progress).I machine stitched the strips together cut and joined the 2 lily pad shaped and then stuff them out, before hand stitching some running stitch across the stripes.I like how it came out. Quit nice for just a fun off the cuff piece of stitching. And the final bit of green that I worked on this week was the collage fabric for the new doll that I'm working on.As you might already know the doll is being made as part of the 3CS colour palette challenge. Lucky for me the palette this time also includes some purple, so I've also had occasion to use some of my purples in making a second piece of collage.I'm liking the collage method for making a brand new piece of fabric, a fun way to use up some really small scraps.

Your little collages are such fun collections of fabric. What a nice way to use up all the bits and pieces.
Great pincushion. I love the hand stitching!
The pincushion is wonderful! I like the collaged fabric, too.
What a fun idea! Can't wait to see what your collages become!
A wonderful pincushion, and even more wonderful collage fabrics! I like them very much!
Your pincushion looks great and I love the "new fabric" you are making from your bits and pieces.
