3CS - New Challenge

This months 3CS colour challenge was announced quite a few weeks ago now. I haven't had much time to work on it and now the deadline is fast approaching. I'm still sticking to my self challenge of making a doll, but I've changed the plan slightly. I was going to move right on through the Jan Horrox book and step straight up to the intermediate doll. But then I thought better of it. Instead I thought I'd try the beginner dolls from a couple of the other books I have before I move up a step.So this month I'm going to be using the basic pattern from one of Patti Culea's lovely doll making books. It has a really elegant beginner pattern, a pretty doll with long limbs. My decision is to make her a collage doll and probably won't dress her, I'll let the fabrics speak for themselves - but this may change. So with the challenge picture as a reference I've raided the green scraps....trimmed them up a bit .....Laid out the pattern on some base fabric.....And made my self some new fabric to work from.So far I've managed an arm and a leg :)

Time to move on the the colours in the pink and purple ranges to make the matching pairs. I have no idea whether I'll be able to get this done before the next palette is issued ... I can but try.

Even if it takes a little longer, it will be worth the wait

That looks like quite a challenge to be taking on as well as your C & G work and all the other work you have set yourself.

I liked the patchwork or greens as a flat fabric but made up into an arm and a leg ... WOW.

With limbs like that it you won't need to dress her.

I can't wait to see how she turns out. You've got a wonderful start already.
