It's party time

If you are here from the Grow your Blog event being hosted by Vicki at 2 Bags Full then welcome to my small space in blog land, it's lovely to have you here.

I'm looking forward to getting to know a few more bloggers out there.  It's brilliant getting to know people from all around the world.

This is me, a bit of a crazy picture I know, but it cracks me up.  It was taken while I was on holiday in Malta at the end of last year.  The little boy is my nephew, my sister and her family are living in Malta at the moment so hopefully I'll have many trips to that lovely island to look forward to.

I'm Angela, and have been keeping my blog for 7 years now.  My blogging journey began way back in 2006.  I had lost my Mum to cancer christmas 2005 and needed an outlet, a distraction from the grief.  My Mum taught me to knit and sew when I was a youngster and keeping busy crafting has seen me through many an up and down on this crazy journey that is life.

When I first started my posts were mostly about quilting and cross stitch, but these days pretty much anything and everything goes.  As well as crafting I love walking and photography, so you'll find all that on here as well family stuff, my holiday snaps and pretty much anything else that tickles my fancy.

I am planning on having a giveaway as part of this fabulous party, but I haven't yet decided what the prize will be.  You'll have to bare with me I'm in the middle of a house move, and I'm sure you all know how crazy that can be ..... especially when the world outside looks like this
... and of course the world inside looks mostly like this.
Once I get back to normal I'll figure it out but if you don't mind a bit of a mystery prize leave a comment and you'll be entered.  Draw will take place on 1st February.  In the meantime thank you for popping by to my little corner of blog world.

Hello Ang! I hope you get yourself sorted out after your move soon. It's a pleasure to meet you and to read some of your blog.

Hi! Working my way through the GYB list (I seem to be chugging along behind Fat Doormouse - my comments are invariably following hers - maybe she's tackling the list from the bottom-up, like me?!)

Had a quick noodle round and I'll be back later for a proper explore! (your snowy bench looks the same as my snowy bench, here in Warwickshire!)

Enjoy the blog-hop!

I do not envy the move...I swear I will never move again. Hang tough, stay warm and enjoy the Blog Party. Curious about a surprise giveaway! I think I will do that, too. I didn't post one, because I didn't have one at the ready, but by Feb. 1st, I could! Enjoyed your post.

Hello Angela, my new Wiltshire friend. We’re practically neighbours. :) I can’t believe you’ve been blogging for seven years! Wow! I see you knit and cross stitch and do all sorts of lovely crafty things. And you’re in the middle of a move...ugg...I hate moving. After my kids disassembled two bog-off heavy 1930’s oak desks and reassembled them in my loft office they said I’m never allowed to move again. Lol. I’ve added your link on my favorite bar so I can get to know you a little bit better. (Also have followed) Take care for now.

Hi there - thanks for visiting and leaving a comment on Comptonia earlier!

I don't envy you dealing with the boxes, but at least if the weather is poor, there's something to do indoors.

Yeah, right.

:)

Oh, I wouldn't want to be you--moving. I've moved 52 times in my 53 years, and have grown to hate it.
I'm looking forward to reading more of your blog.

I think I will like following you but I am not crazy about the uber winter pics (reminds me too much when we lived in Minot N.D and they had some of the most record lows and snow falls during the 6 years we were there). That was enough of that for me for a life time. But you go girl ;-)

Hello Angela,

LOVE your finished crocheted afghan. It is a cheery collection of squares.

Hope the move happens soon so you can get everything all sorted and settled in.

I am here from the blog party. And I've been enjoying your posts. Reading all these craft blogs have given me the itch to get at my pile of UFP's.
