What a fabulous party

Wasn't the Grow your blog party heaps of fun?  Thanks so much to Vicki at 2 bags full for hosting such a great event.  I've had such a great time getting to know new blogs and speaking to new people all over the world.  I want to say a big thank you to everyone (old and new visitors) who comes by and takes time to visit my little corner of blogland.  Before the party I had 35 followers and I now have 60, wow it's a little overwhelming really.

I still haven't quite decided what the prize is for my drawer but I will figure it out soon, and I have drawn a winner.  I used random number generator and that picked number 36 which is Hueisei of Love it Sew it

Even though the party is over I'm still feeling in a party mood, and I found the perfect way to ward of the post party blues when I visited Jessica's blog

I'm joining in this pay it forward

Here are the details:
The first 5 people to comment and leave their email and blog address will receive from me, sometime in 2013, a small gift handmade by me....a surprise in the mail! In this age of digital everything, who doesn't love actual fun mail?

There will be no warning, but once I know that the recipient has indeed received the surprise, I will blog about the gift I sent and count down the five surprises with all my blog readers!

The Catch:
Those 5 people must make the same offer on their blog!
If you're interested in participating, making some new friends in blog land, and sharing your creative talents, then please leave me a comment.  I will be contacting the first 5 people who comment to get your mailing address so I will be ready to send your surprise in the coming months!
I look forward to hearing from you!
Happy Creating!

A Package from Loopy Lou

We had a lovely time away at the weekend and of course I do have some pictures to share, but haven't had time to upload them to blogger yet. For now I want to tell you about the amazing Pay It Forward parcel I got from Loopy Lou on Friday. When I opened my parcel out came this fabulous bag, which served me well on my adventures at the weekend. I have been looking to get a new bag for a while, something big enough for me to carry my diary and reading book/kindle around in as well as all the usual stuff that we can't leave the house without and this is just perfect. Take a peek at the beautiful lining fabric too.Isn't that just yummy. But imagine my surprise and delight when I open the bag and this little lot came tumbling out ....... how spoilt am I? Well I'm not going to keep you in suspense these little packages contained so much treasureA beautiful pin cushion which I adore. I have a thing for pin cushions and have quite a little collection going on now. This one will be treasured.A lovely little holder for my crochet hooks (I am going to make yet another attempt this year to learn this craft).
There were also these beautiful cloths and towels. I mean wow receiving these wonderful gifts really made my week. But I'm not finished yet, Loopy Lou even thought of my darling kitties and including 5 of the cutest little cat toys one for each of my kids :)
Here is Pip taking first dibs on which will be his..... Molly quickly jumped in and took hers to the safety of the kitchen.

Thank you Loopy Lou :)

Secret Stitching Started

Had a day off work yesterday but was feeling a little off colour. Had planned to do lots of sorting and packing but just didn't have the energy. The only thing accomplished all day was to lie on the sofa and do a few stitches here and there on the secret project. Speaking of secret projects the one I was working on a few weeks ago should be arriving with it's new owner any day now so hopefully I'll be able to share that on my blog soon :)

Pay It Forward

I've decided to join a Pay it Forward which I saw over on Loopy Lou's blog At some point in the future I'll be receiving a handmade gift, yay! :)

In return I need some volunteers to receive something from me and take up the PIF mantle themselves. Here are the rules of the game .

I’ll be sending a package of a handmade gift to each of five recipients and they, in turn, will pay it forward by sending packages to five others under the same rules, thereby continuing to spread the love. The gifts may be very small and need not be expensive at all. There are no deadlines and no need to hurry.....in fact no pressure at all. After being chosen, you can opt to post about the Pay It Forward challenge straight away on your own blog and get the ball rolling or, you can wait until you receive your Pay It Forward gift package from me.

So if you would like to participate, please leave a comment.
