Yesterday was Sunday

Yesterday was Sunday.

It could have been a magical, wonderful, enjoy the simple things kind of day. Snow has been falling in these parts again and it would have been the perfect day for taking a nice long winter stroll. Instead I've been laid up with the flu. Seems like just about everyone has had these germs and it's just my turn I guess. I barely had the energy to stand up long enough to get myself out of bed, let alone go for a nice long walk. So most of the day was spent on the sofa under blankets watching the countdown continue.

Worry Dolls

For reasons that I won't go into life at Angelcat Manor has been pretty stressful in recent days, but I think I may have found the perfect solution. Yesterday I happened across a little market stall selling some worry dolls.
You can read the folklore behind them here. Let's hope they are the antidote to my recent lack of sleep.

Bad Blogger

I've been such a bad blogger recently. Can't believe it's been a couple of weeks since I posted, I have plenty of excuses though ;) It's been a combination of laziness, lack of time on the computer, packing up the house, planning for the future, days out, time spent with family and good friends and I've had a birthday to celebrate. Phew! No wonder I'm exhausted, my brain hurts just thinking about that list.

Hopefully normal service will be resumed shortly.......

Sunshine

We've had some wonderful weather again this week but who knew you could buy sunshine at the supermarket? These beautiful roses were in the reduced section as according to the seller they were past their best. They look pretty spectacular to me and as they are all my favourite colours they just had to come home with me.

Hide and Seek

The lack of energy for stitching seems to be creeping in to other things, like blogging! I have tonnes of pictures to share from recent adventures in London, Birmingham and around the West Country but no time and energy to write the words that go along with the pictures.

For now I'm just going to share this snap of a cute cow playing hide and seek behind an altogether too small tree. Yes Daisy I can still see you! Well it made me smile anyway :)
