As the
threadkeeper went so well I figured I'd have a go at tackling one of the other kits that I bought at the
NEC earlier this year. Time for something that's totally different to the precise embroidery required in the threadkeeper though.
When I saw
Madeleine Millington's stand at the show, full of colour and soft fabrics, I just couldn't resist.

Even though I'm a bit of an exception - an
English gal who doesn't drink tea - it was the tea cosy pattern that came home with me, along with a couple of bags of scraps cut from old wool blankets. As you can see a start has been made.

It's fun to work some crazy patchwork, haven't done any in a while. Freeing not to be working to any particular pattern and just adding stitches wherever they want to go. After he crazy work has been done there will be plenty of embellishment to do, this is going to be one loud tea cosy :)
